Awoooooo White Ween continues! Awoooooooo! Today on System Mastery we introduce you to the colon-free world of Werewolf the Apocalypse. I mean, there’s some colons. Werewolves probably have colons. I bet they poop constantly on the lawns of corporate criminals and polluters and so on. What I meant was that the title lacks a colon. So it’s an instruction, and werewolf is just a verb. Apply werewolves directly to the apocalypse. Anyway, this book was weird, this post is weird, happy White Ween to all and to all a good night.
The word “métis” (MAY-tee) is French for “mixed” and was often used in Canada as synonymous with “half-breed” to describe part-aboriginal (and thus outcast) people in colonial days.
“Fun” fact: when we roleplayed in Canada, we deliberately pronounced it “mettiss” to avoid the association. (Métis are actually a recognized ethnic group now.)
Despite five dots of rage, I’m still just a wolf in a cage.
Congratulations on the (soon-to-be) newest addition to your family!
Great episode. I kind of wish you’d spent more time on the pithy quotes.
The Changelings being humans kidnapped by “fairies” is a nWoD thing. In the old WoD they were “fairies” trapped in the human world. Much like with the Malkavians in Vampire this was intendedto be super dark, but in actual play quickly devolved into comedy. I assume that’s why they changed it.
Given Mark Rein#Hagen’s recent tweets, it’s almost a shame there wasn’t a Wowzer reference in this episode. Almost.
