Looks like there’s a general dearth of holiday films this year, just Bad Santa 2 (which was November) and Office Christmas Party.
On the other hand, Assassin’s Creed.
I’m surprised how you guys didn’t harp on the fact that the government wizards killed that kid, but merely arrested a world famous killer and madman.
IDK, was openly supremacist nazi mages vs covertly supremacist nazi mages the main conflict of this film (evil vs slightly less evil) ? Because each and everything the official good-ish wizards done in the film had horrible implications.
1) Segregation – check
2) Forced brainwashing/mindwipes and human killing cover-ups – check
3) Capital punishment effective right now without proper investigation (yes, it was ordered by the bad guy but no one thought it was a strange thing to do, so I guess its normal) – check
4) Killing mentaly unstable kid when it hesitates for a sec – check.
Just a thing nothing for this movie “makes more sense in the book” because the book isn’t a narrative book. The book is like a straight up monster manual with no story to it.
