System Mastery 298 – Wild West
I really hope you’re enjoying this string of very old games, we’re doing our best to get back into them quickly (ever since I found one of my old box sets fully eaten by bugs and had to fumigate). In this case, it’s a game about real old timey cowboys! Like Boot Hill but not TSR!

The FGU store is just selling their old games from the 80s. I assume there’s not a lot of staff there. ;)You reviewed PsiWorld in episode 233.
I am so very tired of people saying FGU is out of business and their games are all unavailable. It’s not like they’re hard to search for, they have a fairly big DTRPG store and a (horribly outdated) site of their own that even has some hardcopy (some of it printed or reprinted post-2000) if you don’t like pdf. They’ve even been sluggishly adding older games to the pdf listings (eg the War of the Sky Cities war game) and added new books for both Space Opera and V&V within the last 5-10 years.
But yeah, I suspect “they” is down to just Scott Bizar and maybe the odd helper if he gets a big physical order.
The Villains & Vigilantes core rules live over at Monkey House Games now along with a few of the adventures, and as far as I can see they haven’t done much with it since finally reclaiming the the game engine (although the V&V is still used by permission by FGU). They put out Mighty Protectors and a WW2 supplement and a handful of other small supplement, but since then it’s be very quiet over there.
