I’m a little confused why you were talking about writing Orks (Orcs) as people and saying “No duh, write Asians as people because they are.” What does that have to do with anything?
Orcs can be written as people or literal incarnations of distilled evil and it be okay for the story, they aren’t real. Depending on how you explain each, it could count as lazy writing either way, but I wouldn’t equate them with real life people because they aren’t.
